I've got pretty short hair and most brushes just slide right through it, but this one actually grabs and gives me real root-lift. The matte handle doesn't slip even when my hands are damp, and pairing it with my hairdryer gets me tight curls in minutes.
The ball-ended pins make such a difference, no scratching at all even when I go right down to the roots. Paired with my hairdryer it lifts my roots in seconds and the matte handle stays grippy the whole time.
